Lauren Loewen began collecting cashmere after finding a sweater at a thrift store that needed a helping hand. It was made by "Ralph Lauren," so it must have been a sign of things to come! After reparing the sweater, Lauren's obsession began. She began picking up sweaters from various places to give them a new lease on life. Soon, Lauren's collection of cashmere grew too large to handle. But, that didn't stop her from rescuing more sweaters with the intention of "doing something with them...someday." Well, that "someday" came in February, 2007 when Lauren decided to finally do something with those sweaters. An avid recycler, Lauren decided to recycle the sweaters into handmade stuffed animals for everyone to enjoy.

• We use only 100% cashmere fabrics, period. Why spend your money on anything less than the best?

• We use only recycled cashmere. We believe in preserving the Earth and it's beauty in any way that we can. Every little bit helps. We advocate recycling 110% and choose to make our creations from previously loved items. If recycling makes you uncomfortable, then you have come to the wrong place. Don't worry, we clean everything!

• Our items are hand-made. Every item is one-of-a-kind and will be a treasure to own.

• After our creations are made, we are left with cashmere scraps. These scraps are sent off to a fiber artist to be used in other hand-made creations. Everything but the fiber content label is used.

• We give you more than just the item you buy. We put in extra effort to make sure your shopping experience is as special as the item you buy. We include fabric swatches, matching cashmere repair threads (when available), and a packet of cashmere detergent from The Laundress. Even the little wooden spools for the thread are handmade by us.
